Maite is growing like crazy. She is now eatting 6 ounces and is sleeping from 9 to 3 then again till 7 in the morning. I love the feeling of getting up in the morning and not needing a nap from being up all night. She never fusses at night when I put her back down. She is taking naps during the day and does not like to go down. There is a bit of crying but soon she falls asleep. I cannot believe how happy she is. It makes everyday so wonderful to look at her and she recognizes our faces and smiles. It is a true love that cannot be described. We are so lucky.
Andrew is still harvesting 3rd cutting and should be done in about 4 - 5 days. We have had a lot of fires here in NV and a storm the other night brought back worries of last years fire. I don't want to go through that again. When the thunder and lightning starts I get up from bed and start thinking of what I am going to grab when the fire starts. On the 26th it will be one year since the fire last year. Andrew says I am crazy for worrying but I can't help it, I love my STUFF! I get to go work in my classroom next Wednesday, since the janitors will be out and it will be clean. I am going to try to get everything done before the reunion. :)

8 weeks

We traveled to Reno to go to the doctor for Maite's shots. Her regular doctor had a little boy the day before our appt. so we saw a different Ped. She is 23.5 inches long and weighs 10 pounds. The doctor said that she is petite. She cried for about 5 minutes after her shots and didn't get a fever. The nurse was really good and very quick. Thank goodness.

Maite and I spent a week in Moses Lake. We got to see lots of friends and family. It was her first trip to WA and she slept almost all the way. Yeah! Dad missed us very much and couldn't wait for us to get home. While in ML she decided to start eatting more and sleep in a crib. So, when we came home I started putting her in her room in her crib instead of the cradle in our room. She is doing great and napping well also.
